RPA Rockets

RPA Rockets Swim Team is a summer swim team for both youth and masters swimmers. We aim to provide a fun, engaging summer experience where swimmers can learn to be part of a team while gaining skills in swimming and in competition.

We welcome swimmers of all ages (subject to 5 year old minimum) and abilities. The only requirement is that a swimmer should have the ability to swim one 50-meter length of the pool unassisted.

We host practices Monday through Friday, with early morning masters practices, morning youth practices, and afternoon youth practices. Morning practices on Monday through Thursday take place at the 50-meter length, with Friday practices usually at the 25-meter length. Afternoon practices are typically at the 25-meter length.

Youth swimmers can participate in either the morning or afternoon practice or both, and can change between morning or afternoon on any day without giving notice. Daily attendance to practice is encouraged, but not required. If you have to miss a week or two due to vacation or other commitments, no problem. We want to be very flexible and make it easy for your child to get involved with swim team.

Swimmers can expect to participate in 4-6 swim meets during our season, 1 or 2 of which will take place at Ridglea Swimming Pool Association. Many swim meets are open to masters swimmers as well. Participation in swim meets is encouraged but is completely optional.

We also host several fun, non-practice youth events during the season, including a team breakfast, swim-athon, and team dinner.

Typically our season begins the last week of May and ends mid-July.

$205.00 per swimmer for the season (no partial season rates). There will be a $25.00 early bird discount for those that register and pay by April 20. There is also a multi-child discount of $25 for a 3rd or more swimmer from the same family. Registration closes May 28th. All swimmers will receive a team t-shirt and cap the first week of practice.
